Sidmouth Music

Sidmouth Music presents a series of 6 public concerts from October to March each year. 2012/13 is our 41st season. The artists are always established performers of international repute, or up and coming prize or award winners. Audiences are assured of a warm welcome to the concerts and refreshments are available during the intervals.

Venues

This season we are using three venues in Sidmouth: Knowle Council Chamber, the Manor Pavilion Theatre and Sidmouth Parish Church. All have excellent acoustics and provide comfortable and intimate surroundings for chamber music and recitals. The venues also have easy access and car parking.

Piano

Sidmouth Music has its own grand piano, a Bösendorfer model 214, in the Knowle Council Chamber. A bequest from Mrs Beatrice Thornton, and a gift from Mrs Joan Haward enabled its purchase in 2002. The Thornton-Haward piano is praised, by all artists who use it, for its fine quality and rich tones.
